About & methodology
How HomeFitRoutine builds your workouts
HomeFitRoutine is a free library of 185+ home workout routines and 107 illustrated exercise guides. Every routine is generated from the same rules, explained below, and runs with a follow-along timer. No account, no paywall.
Structure
Every routine follows the same three blocks
Sessions run from 10 to 45 minutes. Stretching routines are a single guided stretch flow instead.
- 1
Warm-up
3 mobility moves, 30 seconds each, to raise your heart rate and loosen the joints you are about to load.
- 2
Main circuit
A timed circuit that rotates muscle groups so one area recovers while another works. You repeat it for several rounds with 60 seconds of rest between rounds; the number of moves and rounds is fitted to the minutes you chose.
- 3
Cool-down
3 stretches, 30 seconds each, on sessions of 15 minutes or more. Shorter sessions skip it so most of the time goes into training.
Difficulty
Work and rest intervals by level
Each level changes two things: harder levels unlock harder exercise variations, and the timer gives you more work and less rest.
| Workout type | Level | Work | Rest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strength & conditioning | Beginner | 30 s | 30 s |
| Strength & conditioning | Intermediate | 40 s | 20 s |
| Strength & conditioning | Advanced | 45 s | 15 s |
| HIIT | Beginner | 20 s | 40 s |
| HIIT | Intermediate | 30 s | 30 s |
| HIIT | Advanced | 40 s | 20 s |

Equipment
Built for what you have at home
Routines are available for no equipment, dumbbells, resistance bands, kettlebell, pull-up bar, depending on the goal. Every goal has a no-equipment version.
Want a different mix? The workout generator builds a routine from any goal, time, equipment and level, and every move links to its form guide.
Safety first
HomeFitRoutine offers general fitness guidance, not medical advice. Consult a doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, injured or managing a health condition. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and favor good form over speed or extra reps.
